Uetlibergbahn S10: Service suspension between Zürich HB–Zürich Selnau
Due to renovation work at Zürich HB SZU station, the Zürich HB–Zürich Selnau line will be closed from April 29 to October 18, 2026. SZU recommends the following alternative routes for the Uetlibergbahn S10 to and from Zürich HB.
By the end of 2026, SZU will be expanding and comprehensively refurbishing the underground station at Zürich Main Station. This will bring the station into line with passengers' current needs and ensure it is accessible in accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act (BehiG). At the same time, SZU is laying the groundwork to cope with the rapidly growing passenger numbers in the future. The line between Zürich HB and Zürich Selnau will be closed in both directions from 29 April to 18 October 2026.

Alternative routes for the S10 toward Zürich Friesenberg–Uetliberg
- Travellers via Zürich Selnau use the signposted walkway (12 mins) between Zürich HB and Zürich Selnau
- Tram lines 3 an 14 from Zürich, Bahnhofplatz/HB to Zürich, Stauffacher; walk (6 mins) to Zürich Selnau station with a connection to the S10 towards Uetliberg
- Tram line 14 from Zürich, Bahnhofplatz/HB to Zürich, Triemli; walk (7 mins, very steep) to Zürich Triemli station with a connection to the S10 towards Uetliberg
Passengers should allow for longer travel times.
